The buildings denoting the central area of Playa Blanca are seen fronting the ocean (centre-left). The close proximity of the harbour to Playa Blanca's central area can clearly be seen in this photograph.

Playa Blanca has become very popular as a staging post in a two centre holiday (with one part of the holiday centred on Lanzarote and the other on Fuerteventura) - and you can see why. Fuerteventura is only about six miles away across a narrow stretch of the Atlantic Ocean.
