| A unique feature of Playa Blanca is the promenade which winds it's way (in and out, up and down) from near the lighthouse at Pechiguera Point in the west to the edge of Papagayo, with it's beautiful beaches, in the east - a distance of several kilometres - passing beaches, luxury hotels, bungalow estates, the old fishing village, a busy harbour and a luxury marina. One is accompanied all the way by breathtaking views. The islands of Fuerteventura and Lobos are just a few kilometres away across the sea and there is always the backdrop of the mountains - Los Ajaches and Montaña Roja. The harbour and the Casas del Sol estate are roughly halfway along this promenade. |
