| Introduction A marina is now under construction close to Punta del Aguila and the Castle (Castillo de las Coloradas). This castle is a well-known landmark in the Playa Blanca area - silhouetted as it is against the skyline. Controversy surrounds the construction of this marina, many of the local inhabitants being opposed to it. This page simply sets out the content of an advertisement which the promoters have published in the Winter 2001 Edition of the island's Lancelot magazine. |

Playa Blanca harbour is being expanded to accommodate a large increase in cruise ships calling at the port where a new passenger terminal is to be built to allow ocean liners to dock alongside the quay. In addition, plans are underway for up to six championship-sized golf courses to be built in the hills above Playa Blanca. |
