| Up-Market Expansion at Playa Blanca |
The consortium of Lanzarote businessmen who are partners in Marina Rubicón have chosen this particular area for their major up-market development project as they anticipate a strong demand in the immediate future for the very best vacation facilities on the island's southern coast.
Playa Blanca harbour is being expanded to accommodate a large increase in cruise ships calling at the port where a new passenger terminal is to be built to allow ocean liners to dock alongside the quay. In addition, plans are underway for up to six championship-sized golf courses to be built in the hills above Playa Blanca.
