Pechiguera Point |
This is the most westerly point on the south coast of Lanzarote (and of Playa Blanca). At high tide, the waves are very impressive - well worth the hour's walk from the Playa Blanca village centre. The nearby islands of Los Lobos (left) and Fuerteventura can be seen on the horizon. The currents passing through the narrow (6 mile) stretch of water between the islands can, at times, be extremely strong. |
