An Older Picture Serving Two Purposes

1.- A chance to show you something of the original Lazarote landscape. This area (near the lighthouse) is now becoming more developed with bungalow and villa estates.

2.- An opportunity to give you some idea of the length of our journey. The majority of the white buildings seen in the distance are clustered around what was the old fishing village of Playa Blanca, whilst the far mountain range (Los Ajaches) rises up from the unspoilt Papagayo area. It is for the foothills of that mountain range that we are headed.

It may look to be a long way to the village centre from here, but there is just as long a walk on the other side to the eastern edge of Playa Blanca (and the Papagayo beaches). So, we'd better get moving.
